Desert rose likes a dry, sunny environment, is drought tolerant but not wet, and heat tolerant but not cold. The optimum temperature for growth is 20-30°C. For home cultivation, it should be placed in a place with sufficient sunlight or scattered light, and fertile, loose and well-drained sandy loam rich in calcium should be used. May to December is its flowering period, flowers are red, rose red, pink, white and other colors. Southern greenhouse cultivation is easier to bear fruit.

Temperature: Desert rose likes to grow in a high-temperature and ventilated environment, and in summer in the south, that is, the growing season of desert rose, the average temperature is around 30 °C, making it very suitable for growing in the south; in winter, due to the desert rose. The cold resistance is poor, so it should be moved to indoor cultivation.
Watering: Desert roses should be grown in a humid environment. Even during the growth period, the water should not be too much. Before each watering, it is necessary to make sure that the surface of the potting soil is completely dry before proceeding. Never water the plant when it is dormant, as doing so will only make the plant more susceptible to cold damage and wilting.
Fertilization: The spring and summer rainy seasons are the growing season of desert roses, so a little fertilizer should be added at this time to supplement the nutrients it consumes during growth. However, due to the slow growth rate of desert roses, it is better to use slow-acting fertilizers, such as decomposed compost. As for autumn and winter, it is the dormant period of desert rose, its growth is very slow or even stopped, so do not fertilize during this time. The swollen roots of desert roses are one of its ornamental values. Properly increasing phosphorus and potassium fertilizers can have the effect of strengthening roots.
